ENJOYING THE SARDINE RUN AT MOALBOAL, CEBU… A SCUBA DIVING ADVENTURE

Yey! We’ve now come to the 3rd part of our scuba diving adventure. Whew! It really took me a while, huh? So sorry about that. Aside from being so busy the past several weeks (which I told you about on my previous blog post), my mental  and emotional health haven’t been so good the past couple of months. So whatever strength and joy I still have in me, I just divert them to my priorities which are my work, Tuz, and our family.

Anyway, I’m so happy to be publishing another blog post today and I hope to do it more frequently (Daily perhaps? Before I start my day at work like now? Hihihi! ) Writing about anything and everything about my life continue to be cathartic for me especially during these uncertain times and I’m happy to share whatever I can with you, my dear readers. Thank you for always checking me out!

So again, let’s dive in!

Scuba diving is one of those things that I’ve crossed off my bucket list. I did my first discover scuba diving session with my friends back in 2005 in Batangas then I did another one I think in 2010 or 2011. Can’t remember anymore and I can’t find my old pictures! Arrrgh! Anyway, this is me below back in 2005, so dark from all my beach travels, and still sexy… hahaha!

Just a bit of trivia about me: I’m a claustrophobic kind of person and going underwater can really be a scary experience with all that water pressure bearing down on every inch of my body (which is why I love snorkeling more than scuba diving) but I’m glad I did it. I will probably never scuba dive again though (due to my hypertension plus I’m a nervous wreck) but I wanted Mahal to experience the magic of being underwater too since between the two of us, he’s the braver and chill one so I’m really happy he did it! And if he likes it so much, he can get himself certified.

If you haven’t read the first two parts of our scuba diving adventure, check them out first:

Part 1: CEBU SEAVIEW DIVE RESORT REVIEW: DAY 1 OF OUR SCUBA DIVING ADVENTURE IN PANAGSAMA BEACH, MOALBOAL

Part 2: DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING: DAY 2 AT CEBU SEAVIEW DIVE RESORT IN MOALBOAL

In case I forgot to mention before, this whole trip happened last Father’s Day weekend (which reminds me, I have yet to blog and vlog about our wonderful vacation last Mother’s Day, hehehe… soon). Despite the waters having a strong current that cloudy and windy morning, we still headed to the diving site. Mahal got a bit dizzy so note to self: bring Bonamine next time! 😉

For Mahal’s first open water dive, we hired a photographer from Cebu Seaview Resort to take photos and videos underwater. I’ll be showing down below a few photos that were taken. Go Pro was used and it’s good enough for documentation purposes. Life really appears magical underwater… especially when we saw a giant turtle! Wow!

As for me and Tuz, we just snorkeled so we can take a peek at Mahal down below and the amazing view of the sardines. These photos below show me, Tuz and the gentle boatmen while we were snorkeling to see the sardine run while also holding on to our flotation device because the current was too strong. Perhaps, when Tuz is older, he can try scuba diving too, like his dada.

Here’s a vlog I did for Part 3:

That’s all, folks! Thanks for reading and watching and I hope you enjoyed all the 3 parts of our scuba diving family adventure! Stay tuned for more blog posts soon (maybe tomorrow! Willing myself to blog daily again!) See yah!
