I’m now on the 21st day of my very own self-imposed 30-day blog post challenge which also propelled me to restart doing other things I love and one of them is actively and consciously feeding myself with positive thoughts by either reading motivational books or watching inspirational videos.
It is human nature to automatically see the negative things in people and situations. We’ve inherited this psychological (or perhaps prehistoric) trait from before the dawn of civilization when cavemen littered the Earth and their way of life is either fight or flight. As such, we’re wired to always be alert of impending danger, to be wary of other negative forces that it takes such an effort to see the good even it’s already there staring right at us.
And so, I’d like to share here with you a 6-minute motivational video that had such a great impact on me when I first watched it and in case you haven’t seen this yet, I suggest that you watch it as well before you start your day. It will help you focus on yourself, your goals, your success, your happiness instead of minding everyone else’s businesses but your own. No wonder so many of us start our day feeling bad about ourselves.
Watch and learn hoping this will motivate and help you become a better you…
My favorite part is towards the last minute of the video where it says:
“You gotta start your day by getting up on time, figuring out your priorities and then getting to work on them. Do not pick up your phone until you’ve done those two things. I think the single biggest reason why people have bad days is that they start it off by looking around everybody else and seeing what they’re doing instead of having the focus and the discipline to actually start your day off with you in control, with your priorities front and center. ”
Ready to have a good day from now on?
Til my next post!
