September is really one busy and blessed month! And it’s just the middle of the very first Christmas month this year… 3 more months to go… not that I want it to end since this is my most favorite quarter of every year. I just wake up every day with more zest, more energy, despite the million tasks I have to do because of the many exciting things happening for us. Praying to God to always guide us in this exciting endeavor we’re venturing into.

Anyway, I just want to update you with the latest happenings in our part of the world…

SnR Members' Treat 2019

S&R Members’ Treat 2019 and Online Giveaway

On Sept. 9, I received an invitation from Ms. Maria Irene Aserios of Mindanaoan.com to attend the S&R Members’ Treat Bloggers’ Meet which was held last Sept. 14, 2019, at 9AM Philippine time. I was excited! I’ve been a member since 2002 when I was still living in Quezon City and the last time we visited their branch here in Cagayan de Oro was when we bought that big hospital toy for Tuz. I was excited to come back and know the exciting updates about our favorite warehouse membership shopping club! Continue reading

A LITTLE INTRO

Are you familiar with the law of attraction? I’ve been applying it to the best of my ability since I learned about it in 2008. It was this law that gave me the courage to quit the high-paying government job I had for 5 years at that time because I wasn’t happy about it anymore and it was taking the life out of me despite earning 100k-250K a month (depending on the schedule of bonuses and RATA)… yes, I was only 24 years old and I was already earning that much, but I let all that go…  It was this law that propelled me to believe that there is life after the corporate world; it was this law of attraction that led me to my first million pesos in cold hard cash a few months after I retired from the government in 2007; it was this law that led me to this this laptop, VA and online lifestyle I’ve been living for almost 12 years now which financially helped me with so many  other things — buy my own house, buy my first car, set up a mushroom farm in the mountains, beach bum and take long vacations whenever I want to, finally have a baby the moment I wanted one (coz all my life before that I never wanted a baby and I never did until I wanted it), build a life with my best friend, get my previous marriage annulled… and so many more, both big and small things. It really is like magic! And whatever I set my mind to achieve, no matter how small or how big, as long as I genuinely believe it will happen, I really achieve it and it really does happen. The secret? GRATITUDE. (You can read my blog posts about gratitude here: https://momtraneur.com/tag/gratitude/) Continue reading

GetBlogged

Earn From GetBlogged! They’re For Real!

OMG! OMG! OMG! GetBlogged just paid me!!! I feel like such a newbie blogger but the truth is, it’s been ages since I last got paid for being a blogger (perhaps the last one was in 2009 when Dr. Gerba visited my house and did the Safeguard campaign… and other little paid links from a decade ago on my Sexy Nomad blog) Like I usually tell you on my old posts, my blog is my passion, my online diary and I don’t really earn from it. It’s just middle of this year that I thought of why not try to earn something from my passion, right? If I get some cash from doing what I love, then thank you, God! If not, the happiness I feel from being able to do what I love is still priceless. I love writing, I love sharing my stories and that should be enough.

So imagine my surprise and delight when I received a little amount on my Paypal account as payment from GetBlogged! I just joined them last month and now I got some payment for doing so. I know it’s nothing; it’s such a super tiny amount, but still, it’s something!

Licealiz

Lamoiyan Corporation Intensifies Head Lice Awareness Through Pharmacy Assistants Forums

Back in December 2017, I published a press release about Licealiz. They have shampoo products for kids that help battle lice. And because we frequent the farm and Tuz likes playing outdoors, I more than welcomed the products they sent us. In fact, until now, we still use their shampoo together with the comb and face towel they sent in the mail. Tuz never had lice in his lifetime (so far) and I thank God for these Licealiz products. I hope it remains to be that way.

So when they sent me a copy of their press release, I more than welcomed it. If you’re a parent to young kids in the Philippines, you might want to give this a read:

Christmas Giveaway

TUSCANY HIGHLANDS MUSIGA AND MUSHROOM POLVORON 2ND ANNIVERSARY and EARLY CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY!!!

Hello September!

At last, the Ber months are here — my favorite last few months of the year because it means that Christmas is just around the corner, Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas in Our Hearts has started playing in the radio again, and of course, my most favorite holiday, Halloween, is happening before all the pre-Christmas and New Year hullabaloo! In short, I’m just in a very festive mood! Weeeee!!!

A huge part of this joy I’m feeling right now is the realization that I really am blessed despite all the seemingly stressful dramas I indulge myself in from time to time (lol). I am officially and legally single, I am loved, I have my babies with me, we are healthy, Mahal and I are growing our businesses and life together, and it’s all great!

And because of these blessings and the overwhelming gratitude I am feeling towards God and our life in general, I am also inspired to give back. We don’t have many material things as we have been living sort of a semi-minimalist lifestyle since I exchanged my big Alabang townhouse lifestyle to tiny pad living in Cagayan de Oro City, but we can definitely give some things to people, albeit strangers, we consider important to us, and these “some things” are no other than our farm products, for our precious target market, the very people we would like to keep serving through our organic mushroom food product offerings.

annulment

Annulment Process in the Philippines [Here are the 8 Steps I Took]

I’ve been awake since 12 noon yesterday. I woke up, had my tea from Blue Bee One PH and went about my daily tasks feeling very optimistic that I will finish all my deadlines when I got an email from my ex following up about the finality of our annulment. I then texted my lawyer about it, half expecting his answer to be the same “still waiting for finality” when lo and behold I got a reply from him saying I’m single again (“dalaga ka na ulit…”) The Office of the Solicitor General finally granted the finality of my petition for annulment. I was ecstatic! My heart started beating so fast I was hyperventilating! Finally! After 3.5 years of emotional, mental and financial stress, I AM FINALLY FREE! I married at 24 years old, and now at 41, I am single again.

I was of course so happy that I immediately posted the news on my Facebook profile. My friends congratulated me. I was on Cloud 9! Continue reading

Musiga

Musiga (Mushroom Sili Garlic Paste) by Tuscany Highlands – Participating at CDO’s La Fiesta Grande Bazaar in Ayala Centrio

Since we got back from our very long road trip, it’s just been work, work, work! Aside from taking care of all my client tasks, Mahal and I have also been busy getting ready for this weekend’s bazaar in Cagayan de Oro — La Fiesta Grande Bazaar to be held at Ayala Centrio Mall in the downtown area. The bazaar will be from August 23, Friday, until August 25, Sunday.

MUSIGA HISTORY

We’ve joined a bazaar before when we first launched our Mushroom Chili Paste and just focused on online selling and consignments after that (see post here: https://momtraneur.com/2018/05/13/tuscany-highlands-organic-farm-mushroom-chili-paste-how-it-came-to-be/)

We received 100% positive reviews from our customers in terms of the taste, but a few suggested that maybe we can improve on our label. Our very first label looked like this:

Solane Kitchen Hero Chefs

Momtraneur Attends Solane Kitchen Hero Chef’s Edition in Cagayan de Oro

It’s been a while since I last said yes to an event invite because of all the travels we’ve been doing from June to August. The last was when we, CDO Bloggers, did our general assembly at Seven Seas and when we also held our GTKY meeting at Seda Centrio back in May 2019. So I was very excited to find out that Solane was heading to Cagayan de Oro, more so when the invite didn’t come from CDO Bloggers Group but was personally emailed to me by FuentesManila.com for their Solane Kitchen Hero Chef’s Edition in Cagayan de Oro which happened last August 15, 2019… the same week that we were going home from our very long road trip and on the same day that my grandfather was celebrating his 95th birthday and Mahal and I were celebrating our 5th Anniversary as well. My schedule was really packed that day! I actually thought I wouldn’t be able to make it because of the typhoon that came and our stay in Cebu City and Oslob got extended. But thankfully, the weather cleared up eventually and now we’re back in Cagayan de Oro and yes, I was able to attend Solane’s media luncheon at Missy Bonbon prior to the cooking competition held at the Atrium in LimketKai Mall.

I am a fan of Solane which is the leading LPG solutions brand in the Philippines. I’ve been using them for years! And I’m sure many of you (my dear readers residing in the Philippines) are using this brand too and I’m excited to share with you today their latest project.

5th anniversary

How To Make A Relationship Last [3 Major Tips for Those Living Together]

We’re home now from our very long road trip starting from Cagayan de Oro to Oslob, then Dumaguete, Bacolod, Iloilo, Gigantes, Boracay, back to Iloilo, Bacolod, Oslob, Cebu City, Dapitan, and now back in Cagayan de Oro. Whew! What a blast it has been! We are so tired from our trip but so rejuvenated as well.

We came home just in time for a few things:

  • my grandfather’s 95th birthday celebration
  • an event I am attending later for Solane as a blogger
  • a package that arrived from Blue Bee which I will be using and reviewing before I join their affiliate program
  • and most especially, just in time for our 5th anniversary as committed life partners ❤

Wow! So many blessings! Thank you, God, for all these love and opportunities in my life right now. I really feel blessed despite the fact that I am oh so tired (which is why I am now taking Thiocell to give me more energy, aside from my usual multivitamins and organic supplements — perhaps, I’ll blog about them next time).

Anyway, that long trip of ours really tested our faith, our patience, and ultimately our love for one another. We are used to traveling together, but it’s not always that we travel with a group, more so, our extended family. I must admit that on a few occasions, it did make me feel like I wanted to give up on us because of the little stresses that came along the way (you can read about it here: How to Avoid Travel Burnout When Traveling With a Group) but as always, after every storm, a rainbow always comes and I’m glad that we always get out of it stronger than ever.

So how do we keep managing to strengthen our love and commitment for each other (as if we’re falling in love for the first time all over again) despite our imperfections? How do we make our relationship last year after year after year and hopefully until death do we part? How do you make your relationship last longer… until marriage… how do you make a marriage last a lifetime?

Below are the major 3 things I learned along the way (which I learned the hard way by the way) and which I want to share with you in case you’re in a relationship too, whether a new one or a seasoned one, and you want to make your relationship stronger too. As I continue to embark in this amazing relationship with my best friend, my life partner, my soulmate, my Mahal, here are the 3 major tips I can give you based on our own experiences: Continue reading
